WHY FILO?

Hi, I'm Dave, I'm a personal trainer and online coach. In my in-person personal training I work in and around the High Wycombe area but online I work with people with all sorts of goals, from all around the UK.

my background: regularly compete in a variety of martial arts and combat sports, occasionally run ultramarathons and always have a genuine passion for helping others to push past their perceived limitations, as my God has done for me. Thanks to more than a decade studying exercise, and a slightly obsessive attitude towards my own training I understand how important physical preparedness is to mental health and quality of life, and want to share what I have learned to help others reach their goals, and build the life they are called to live.

Some challenges are difficult and require a lot of effort to overcome, some are easier and can be overcome with ease, but every challenge CAN be overcome. We never use the word Can't.

Once you have a clear destination, the path forwards becomes clear too. We will break your long term dreams into mid-term goals, break your mid-term goals into bite-sized short term plans, and systematically bring those plans into reality. With clear goals, the right plan and the discipline to follow it, anything is possible.

Anyone can be disciplined for a day, but will you show up for yourself again tomorrow? And the day after that? And every day after that? Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither is a strong, healthy body or a resilient mind. Once we've specified a goal, we focus on healthier habits and building on those habits a little more every day, you may not see a difference tomorrow, but look back in 6 months and you'll be amazed how far you've come.​​
